Royalties from each copy of the book sold will be donated to the children’s charity Luxor4Care – luxor4care.org.uk. The book is a vivid, moving and often humorous account of the author’s first visit to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings after thirty-five years of dreaming. Once there, he explored much of the Theban necropolis on foot, following in the footsteps of his heroes such as Giovanni Belzoni. Like many before him, he soon came under the spell of that intoxicating mix of ancient and modern Egypt that is a striking feature of any visit to Luxor.

The paperback book is priced at $16.99 / £9.85 / EUR 12.59 and includes 15 black and white photos, two sketch maps and a glossary.
